The recent SEEK Catholic conference recorded a record attendance of around 26,000 people—a 24 percent jump. This comes after years of continued growth in church attendance in the United States.

While the Catholic Church has drawn in a massive surge in membership, it isn’t alone. Denominations across the Christian faith have seen huge spikes, with Texas Youth Summit’s Christian Collins pointing out: “The Passion Conference, a Protestant conference, had 45,000–60,000 [attendees] just a few days ago. So that is a huge number.”

Collins went on to say that this massive return to faith is particularly obvious among young people. He explained that’s because “young people care about purpose, and they’re not gonna find that in anything other than God. This is evidence that God is making a comeback in America.”

He also pointed to last year’s assassination attempt on political and faith activist Charlie Kirk as one of the major causes of this. “This has correlated with Charlie Kirk’s death,” he said. “15 percent increase in church attendance over the past couple of months since September. Bible sales are up over 1 million since September.”

According to Collins, even Christian music is seeing a surge in popularity, beginning to break into the Billboard charts.
