Multiple state, federal, and local law enforcement agencies held a joint press conference today to announce the results of a recent multi-agency operation that led to the arrests of several violent offenders, including multiple sexual predators.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez detailed the arrest of 43-year-old Joshua Gomez, a former chiropractor accused of using his position to sexually harass and assault at least 12 victims across multiple counties. Gomez surrendered his license in 2019.
Texas DPS Lieutenant Kyle Matheson announced that Roberto Vasquez was also arrested for repeatedly sexually assaulting a child, beginning when she was just nine years old. Vasquez remains held on a $100,000 bond.
Deputy Special Agent in Charge of DEA Houston, Brian Leardo, confirmed that the DEA participated in and assisted with these arrests—and others—by providing manpower and intelligence research analysts.
