With reports that Nancy Pelosi made over $100 million in stock profits during her congressional career, a House Committee will hold a hearing to address member trading.
"The American public is seeing this and saying, clearly something smells here" said Bob Hoge, writer and editor for Red State, "People just are very untrustful of what they're seeing, in fact 80% think it's wrong."
House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil, R-Wis., is leading the hearing, titled "Taking Stock of the STOCK Act."
"I think there's a real movement to curb this activity, and she's not alone by the way" Hoge told KTRH, "This looks wrong, it smells wrong, it is wrong and I do think action will be taken, I just don't think it will be that quick" noted Hoge.
Texas Congressman Chip Roy has already introduced legislation that would ban stock trading.
