Texas Teachers From 124 Districts Under Investigation For Kirk Comments

It's been almost a month since the tragic assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, but the investigations into vile posts and comments from teachers across Texas continues.

According to the Texas Education Agency (TEA), teachers in 124 school districts across the state are under investigation, after hundreds of complaints were filed, or as the TEA put it, "posted and/or shared reprehensible and inappropriate content on social media related to the assassination of Charlie Kirk."

TEA Commissioner Mike Morath said in a statement, "“While the exercise of free speech is a fundamental right we are all blessed to share, it does not give carte blanche authority to celebrate or sow violence against those that share differing beliefs and perspectives."

In the Houston area, there are teachers in Aldine, Alief, Clear Creek, Conroe, Cypress-Fairbanks, Fort Bend, Galena Park, Houston, Humble, Klein, La Porte, Pasadena, Spring Branch and Spring ISDs are under investigation.
