Southeast Texans are expected to gather in Downtown Houston on Sunday night for an honorary remembrance and candlelight prayer for the late Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed on Wednesday.
The founder of Turning Point USA, who's being mourned worldwide, will be honored starting at 7 pm at Discovery Green next to the George R. Brown Convention Center, on McKinney at LaBranch on Downtown Houston's east side.
His allies and supporters who are helping to organize the prayer say their intention is not only to celebrate Charlie Kirk's life but also to promote peace.
Charlie Kirk, considered a top conservative politics and Christian faith speaker and influencer, was assassinated at an outdoor question-and-answer personal appearance on Wednesday at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City.
