Will A Democrat Actually Merge Into The 2028 'Sane Lane'?

With the countdown already on to next year's midterms, the left is doubling down on attacking President Trump. But what will be their plan for 2028?

And more specifically, will there be a Democrat that is willing to take the 'sane lane', and try to actually win an election?

"The sane lane offers a chance for them to appeal to the normal people they've driven away with all of the trans idiocy, and love for illegal aliens and open borders" said Kurt Schlicter, columnist for Townhall Media.

It's from an old page in the Democrat playbook.

"There's a huge open space if you want to go in as just, a normal guy. And that families are good, and that you should work for a living instead of taking welfare" Schlicter told KTRH, "And that's been done before, and it was of course done by Bill Clinton."

It was also perfectly executed by Joe Biden in 2020. But it's a different ball game now.

"Whether there's a Democrat who can actually do it is a great question" noted Schlicter, "Right now, the energy and the money is on the 'fighters', and you see Gavin Newsom making a fool out of himself."

Some of the Democrats that could try to break free include Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, California Congressman Ro Khanna, and even Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
