There could be fireworks as Harris County Commissioners discuss the new budget.
The county is facing a deficit that could be as large as $200 Million. The meeting Tuesday comes as County Judge Lina Hidalgo is publicly feuding with the one Republican on Commissioners Court, Tom Ramsey, and two of the Democrats, Lesley Briones and Adrian Garcia.
Hidalgo has taken to social media several times over the last two weeks, lumping Briones and Garcia in with Ramsey, calling them "The GOP Three," This all stems from their vote against her effort to raise taxes for early childhood education. The three also voted against her attempt to have taxpayers foot the bill for a recent trip to Paris, which wound up going $20 thousand over budget.
