Harris County Precinct Three Commissioner Tom Ramsey says that he will look into removing Lina Hidalgo as County Judge after her antics at Commissioners Court.
Ramsey told Houston's Morning News, "That's gonna be my focus, that's gonna be my mission. We need to remove her from office. There is a procedure and protocol, we need to get better leadership. We don't have time for this."
Hidalgo stormed out out of Commissioners Court after Ramsey and Democrats rejected her plan to raise property taxes.
This is not the first time that Hidalgo has had an incident during a meeting with commissioners. Before and after her trip to Paris earlier this summer she chastised commissioners for not voting to have taxpayers pay for what she called a trade mission. She has also repeatedly argued with several commissioners during court.
Hidalgo has yet to formally announce a run for a third term as County Judge, and will be challenged in next year's primary, if she runs, by former Houston Mayor Annise Parker.
