The mayor of Pasadena is said to be doing better after a medical emergency sent him to a hospital on Monday.
Mayor Thomas Schoenbein was airlifted to Memorial Hermann hospital midday during what a city hall spokesperson called a medical emergency, though no details have been provided.
In a Tuesday statement, Pasadena City Hall information stated that Mayor Schoenbein continues to recover and has shown significant improvement in the past 24 hours, but he's in guarded condition.
"Mayor Schoenbein is in good spirits and has expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love, care, and support he and his family have received. Your continued prayers and encouragement mean the world to him and make a real difference during this time."
