The mayor of Pasadena is in a Houston area hospital after suffering what officials call a "medical emergency."
Mayor Thomas Schoenbein was flown by medical helicopter after complaining of not feeling well about 1:15 Monday afternoon.
He is said to be getting treatment at that hospital.
“City leadership is in close contact with his family, and we ask the community to keep him in their thoughts and prayers during this time,” according to a statement from Pasadena City Hall.
He was sworn in as mayor more than a month ago following a June 7th runoff election.
