There was one person shooting video in a West Houston parking lot early Sunday morning, and that video may be crucial in finding out who ran over several people.
After the bars had closed in the Westheimer-Galleria entertainment district, several people were gathered in a parking lot near Richmond Avenue and Fountain View when a fight broke out, which one person standing nearby began to record on a phone camera.
Moments later, about 3:30 am, the driver of a car whipped into that parking lot and drove through, hitting at least six people along the way, before driving back onto Richmond and disappearing into the night.
Several people were taken to hospitals, according to Houston Police, with injuries ranging from broken bones to lacerations, but all are expected to be okay.
Police are now trying to find out who the driver might have been, and they say they have a good description of him because of the video provided by the bystander who was taping the whole thing.
