Harris County Sheriff's deputies have been sorting out the events of a shooting on the county's northwest side, after two men were shot.
Deputies found three men, one of whom was shot and killed, at a car about a mile from the motel at which they were confronted by a gunman.
The driver of the car told deputies he was shaken but unhurt after a man in a mask and dark clothing pulled up to them at the motel on Highway 6 near Clay Rd., got out of a Ford Bronco and opened fire on the three, killing one, wounding another. The driver in the Bronco then sped off.
The wounded man was taken by EMS to a hospital, while the driver answered questions, while investigators determined how the shooting incident happened.
The Sheriff's Dept. hasn't released information about whether the men knew the gunman or what may have motivated him to shoot at the three as they sat in a car.
