Two teenagers are in a Houston-area hospital after they were hit in the early hours of Sunday while riding their bicycles in north Harris County.
The two were out about 4:30 am not far from Airline at West Mt. Houston Road when they were both struck by a vehicle, whose driver did not stop to help the two, who were severely injured.
The teenagers, one of whom is said to be 15, were rushed to a hospital, where one was classified in critical condition as of Sunday evening, the other in serious condition.
They were described by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales as a boy and a girl, but no further specific details have been released.
Officials do say they have some surveillance video of the accident as they try to make an identification of the hit-and-run driver.
