A possible road rage incident led to a shooting Monday near the Sam Houston Parkway and Clay Road in northwest Houston. Police say a man in a pickup truck followed another driver to a parking lot, then got out and began banging on the car’s window. The other driver fired two shots through the glass, hitting the man in the chest.
The wounded man ran into a nearby McDonald’s for help and was taken to the hospital with injuries that are expected to be survivable.
Houston police are now working with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed. Officers believe the altercation may have started earlier on I-10. No other injuries were reported.
