The stunt pulled by Maryland Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen isn't working.

Van Hollen did meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador yesterday. But the man deported by the Trump Administration isn't going anywhere.

Nayib Bukele, the President of El Salvador, posted om X that, "Now that he’s been confirmed healthy, he gets the honor of staying in El Salvador’s custody."

A number of high profile Democrats are now coming to Abrego Garcia's defense, including Hillary Clinton and Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett.

This is despite the fact that Abrego Garcia crossed the border illegally, was found to be a member of the violent gang MS-13, and was arrested on two occasions for beating his wife.

And new reporting also says that Abrego Garcia was stopped in 2022 on suspicion of human trafficking.
