There's potential for serious weather Saturday in Houston.
The National Weather Service is calling for some scattered storms in the morning and more widespread action in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are likely for the greater Houston area before 4 p.m. with winds that could gust as high as 30 mph. Some of these storms could become severe with large hail and damaging winds. Isolated tornadoes will also be possible.
There's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night and temperatures will drop all the way down to the low 50s. New rainfall amounts are expected between a quarter and half of an inch.
Temperatures Saturday will reach 80. There's also a slight chance of showers Sunday morning with a high of only about 60.
