Texas Lawmakers Propose Making  Attacks On Tesla's A Felony

With radical leftist's attacking Tesla's even here in Texas, some local lawmakers want to send a message, by making these violent attacks a felony.

"Torching Tesla cars and charging stations, all this stuff is criminal behavior and it's got to be dealt with" said state senator, Paul Bettencourt who along with fellow Houston state senator Joan Huffman are making the push.

"What we're seeing now is people are going around the country trying to torch dealerships, cars out on the road and their charging stations, or Tesla's parked in the dealership" Bettencourt told KTRH, "And all of this unacceptable, this is organized crime behavior."

The good news is, the legislation has already passed through the senate.

"And it's headed to the Texas House, and I expect it to be able to pass in the House as well" noted Bettencourt.

A conviction could result in a $10,000 fine, and up to 10 years in prison.
