In the 'you can't make this up' category, the Democrats are holding a Town Hall event tonight in Fort Bend County, featuring failed VP candidate Tim Walz, and multiple time Texas election loser Beto O'Rourke.
"It's a little bit of a head scratcher, but hey I'm fine with them coming if that's the best they've got" said Steve Munisteri, former chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, "If that's the best they've got, I think we're in really good shape going into next years elections."
As for the Democrats, they are not in good shape. Recent left wing polling showed the approval rating for the party at an all-time low. So why would they send two of their biggest failures here to Houston?
"Well, I hate to put myself in the mind of a Democrat, especially one that's so off base" Munisteri told KTRH, "I think with Beto O'Rourke, he wants to be relevant. I also just think they're out of touch."
Definitely out of touch, especially here in Texas.
"There are almost twice as many conservatives in this state, than there are liberals, so it makes sense for us to fire up the conservative base" noted Munisteri, "It doesn't make sense for them to try to fire up the left-wing base, but I'm ok with them trying the same failed strategy. It's like their running the same play, over and over again."
And that is why Republicans keep running up the score.
