Two astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who have been stranded on the International Space Station the last nine months, are back on Earth.
Their SpaceX Dragon spacecraft returned them both safely this afternoon, splashing down off the coast of Florida.
The mission launched on Friday to save the pair. Wiliams and Wilmore were stranded when their Boeing Starliner spacecraft was deemed unsafe for a return in June 2024. Their original mission was supposed to last a week.
Both of them exited the spacecraft in the Gulf of America on Tuesday unharmed.
