Wall Street still isn't happy.

After losses across the board on Monday, the Dow Jones opened with even more loses on Tuesday. You can track the Dow HERE in real time.

The losses came as President Trump doubled down on tariffs, and did not guarantee that a recession would not happen during an interview on Fox News this past weekend. Of course, there's no way he could guarantee that a recession wouldn't happen.

Those are the reasons for Monday's losses being given by the mainstream media. There are two other factors.

One is this week's deadline to fund the government or face a partial government shutdown Friday. Democrat minority leader Hakeem Jeffries says his caucus will not vote for the plan put out there by the House GOP.

Another factor is the uncertainty tied to the expiration of the Trump tax cuts. Republicans want to extend them or even make them permanent. The fact that there is no signal as to when or even if that will happen has investors nervous.
