For the first time in its history, Texas based Southwest Airlines is going to charge customers for check their bags.
In a statement, the airline said, “We have tremendous opportunity to meet current and future customer needs, attract new customer segments we don’t compete for today, and return to the levels of profitability that both we and our shareholders expect.”
Southwest has not revealed how much it will cost you to check your bags. The move will take effect for tickets that are bought either on or After May 28th.
