A 21-year-old man is in a Houston jail after being arrested last week for an early morning shooting at a southeast side bar two weekends ago.
Kendrick Montgomery is being held on $5 million bond in connection with the shooting of five people at the The Address Bar and Grill just after closing time on Sunday morning March 2nd.
Houston Police were called to the bar about 2:35 am and were told by witnesses that someone pulled a car up in front and started firing shots into the bar, then drove off. There was a disturbance of some kind a little earlier, but it's not clear if it was connected to the shooting.
Five people were shot, two of them women ages 43 and 32. One man and one woman reportedly remain in a hospital, the rest were treated and released.
Police investigators say they were able to identify Montgomery as the shooter and found him March 7th, with a SWAT team present, joined by South Central and Southeast Patrol Crime Suppression Teams, with some assistance from the FBI.
Montgomery's charged with aggravated assault with a mass shooting, a felony.
