President Donald Trump on Sunday night posted that his choice for Deputy Director of the FBI is talk show host Dan Bongino.
Mr. Bongino is known as a former Secret Service agent during the George W. Bush and Barack Obama presidencies and as a Fox News host.
President Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, "Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel."
Bongino is also a former New York City police officer, and Mr. Trump noted that the podcaster and talk host holds "a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the City University of New York and an MBA from Penn State."
During an interview in 2021, Bongino announced that he had "beaten cancer," after being diagnosed with a tumor and Hodgkin lymphoma.
He lives in Palm City, FL with his wife and two daughters.
