In addition to the flu, there has been a new measles outbreak among young children here in Texas. One reason could be that the state's measles vaccination rate has dropped since Covid.
"It says to me that trust has been broken, and parents don't know who to look for for sound science" said Jackie Schlegel with Texans for Medical Freedom.
Sadly, because of the way the federal government under the Biden-Harris regime handled Covid, many Americans are skeptical of vaccines or anything else coming from the CDC.
"The CDC is going to have to work to gain back the trust on their science and their data" Schlegel told KTRH, "And I think that starts with confirming Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
It's a start, but it's going to take a lot of time, and it's going to be difficult.
"I don't know that this trust can easily be regained, just look what we did to our children. We masked up 2-year old's, none of that was based on science and parents are really fed up" noted Schlegel, "They're looking at the entire broken system."
In the meantime, it's worth noting that Texas AG Ken Paxton has joined with 16 other State Attorneys General, investigating Anthony Fauci for his role in the U.S. response to Covid, even though he was given a sweeping pardon by Joe Biden.
