The FBI and Harris County authorities are pleading with the public for help in solving a gruesome and vicious murder last year in the Cypress area.
Sheriff Ed Gonzales said three people were at the home early in the morning of August 18th, 2024, when someone shot them and then set the house on fire.
The question is who would do such a thing, and why?
Authorities say they need more information to figure that out, and that's why they're appealing to the public for information and help in finding the killers.
There was more than one person involved, Sheriff Gonzales said Tuesday, because someone drove a getaway car, and there may be other accomplices.
After the three killings, the home along
Firefighters found the bodies of Kelly Masciarelli, her grown son Kolin Foster and his girlfriend Cameryn Richard, all of whom had been shot before the fire was set, authorities determined.
Cameryn's mom, Tina Taylor, spoke at a news conference on Tuesday.
"Three lives were taken for no reason. My 4-foot-6 85-pound daughter was shot to death.
"And there is somebody evil out there walking around, and they will do it someone else, harm someone else's family, destroy someone else's family," Ms. Taylor said, tears in her eyes.
"And if you know anything, if you've heard anything, somebody even mentions something to you [about these murders], whether you know it to be true or not, please call, call the tip line, call Harris County detectives.
"No one should be allowed to take a child from a mother, or to take a son from a father and a mother.
":Evil cannot go long, God is too good. It will come to pass that this person will be caught, but we need everybody to help who can help."
Sheriff Gonzales added, "The egregious and violent nature of Kelly, Kolin and Cameryn's murders have led us to offer an up-to-25-thousand-dollar reward.
"Someone has information that can help our investigators solve this case. We need that person to come forward," he said at the news conference.
"If you have any information that might help, call 1-800-call-FBI. Thank you for your help, we need it."
