A man who escaped from a Harris County inmate processing area last week has been recaptured.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that the man, 47-year-old Travis Earl Bryant II, broke custody and ran from the Harris County Joint Processing Center a week ago.
Bryant had been serving time on a misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance charge but was expected to be transferred to Jefferson County, where he was wanted on a separate charge.
Instead of being held for the new destination, though, Bryant escaped from a prisoner area.
He was found and arrested again Tuesday morning.
