Gov. Abbott Deploys Additional DPS Resources To The Border

Migrant Crossings At Southern Border Increase Ahead Of Title 42 Expiration

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced this morning that he has directed the Texas Department of Public Safety to send tactical strike teams to support President Trump's homeland security operations here in Texas.

According to a press release from Abbott's office, these tactical strike teams will be used to locate and arrest criminal illegal aliens across the state of Texas.Abbott says this is part of Texas' "expanding operations to assist President Donald Trump."

These DPS strike teams are set to coordinate with a newly established Homeland Security Task Force and hope to identify and arrest nearly 5,400 illegal aliens with active warrants across the state of Texas.

Abbott went on to say, "After four years of failed policies, Texas finally has a partner in President Trump. Together, we will end this crisis and make America safe once again."
