Winter Storm Enzo is on the way out, but snow and ice are still on the ground, with Houston embracing for another hard freeze tonight.
Harris County Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez joined KTRH's Jimmy Barrett, and urged Houstonian's to stay at home.
"Eventually we may get a little bit of sun, but this evening temperatures are expected to dip again, possibly as low as into the teens maybe, and so at some point the snow is going to convert into ice" Gonzalez said.
So even if it does look a little better, the best thing to do is remain home for the rest of today.
"It's important for motorists that don't need to be on the roadways to stay off because we do have first responders and others that are trying to bring critical supplies or get to critical calls for service" Gonzalez told KTRH, "And so, we just don't need people out there sliding and causing more crashes that we have to respond to."
