Trump set to hit ground running with executive orders on day one

Since winning the 2024 election over a month ago, Donald Trump has been quick in assembling not just his cabinet, but his plans for enforcing his campaign promises. He has laid out his ideas for mass deportations, addressing vaccine mandates, and even thoughts for ending the now three-year long war between Russia and Ukraine.

But not only is he enacting these orders, he plans to rev up the engine immediately. His incoming Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller said recently on FOX that the issue of executive orders will come January 20th. Some will be his own, some will be to reverse disastrous policies the Biden Administration has enacted, like the vaccine mandates.

Political strategist Vlad Davidiuk says this will bring sweeping change like we have not seen.

"Beginning that first week...there are going to be an extensive number of orders that truly change the direction of the country," he says.

First up will almost surely be mass deportations, one of the pillars of his entire campaign, and rightfully so. Miller has said these orders will seal the border shut and allow his plan of riding America of criminal illegal aliens will begin.

Of course, the mainstream liberal media and Democrats will try and tab Trump as a 'lame duck' president from day one, since he cannot run again. They will try to spread the idea that none of his actions are possible, and no change will truly come.

But if Trump acts quickly, he can not only establish a foothold for his second term, but also open doors for Republicans when the next elections come calling.

"He has a good two years to build on a strong record of success before the midterms," says Davidiuk. "He has an opportunity to send a strong message, and build a strong case."

A lot can happen though in two years, as we have seen Biden manage to all but bring the country to a stall in the last two himself.

So, it will be imperative that Trump act even more swiftly on his timeline.

"That first 365 days of his Presidency will be key in establishing a successful second term," he says.

Beyond deportations, Trump has said he plans to cut federal funding for schools that teach Critical Race Theory or have vaccine mandates.

Buckle up, though. January 20th arrives in a mere 21 days, and it is sure to be a contested, argumentative row to hoe.
