2024 was perhaps the craziest year ever in the political world.

Politics dominated the news cycle and social media sites, wrapping up the year with arguably the greatest comeback in political history for Donald Trump. More than 155 million people cast ballots in the 2024 presidential election, second only to the 2020 election, with Trump defeating Vice President Kamala Harris to capture his second term in the White House, although inconsecutively.

What started off as a likely rematch between President Joe Biden and the 45th President, turned into a call to the bullpen for Democrats by going with Harris with only a few months to campaign before November.

For political and economic analyst Jake Novak, there was one clear winner for the most politically absurd thing that Americans had to deal with in 2024 and it involves the 46th President.

"It's something that's going to get worse and worse over time as we get more people who will talk about how brain-addled he was," Novak said of Biden's mental state, which got progressively worse over his four years in office.

Novak calls it the biggest political scandal in American history.

"As embarrassing as it was in real time, it was made more embarrassing after they pulled him off the ticket," Novak said. "Now, it's becoming clear that this guy was not mentally capable of being president from day one."

On top of that, White House officials and the mainstream media doing their best to downplay the situation, including NBC's Joe Scarborough who said during one of his shows "this version of Biden, intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever" and press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during a briefing claimed Biden was as "sharp as ever."

"There will never be a time where this isn't embarrassing, both for the people involved and to us as Americans, I mean this is serious stuff," Novak added.
