The College Football Playoff bracket has been released and two Texas teams are officially in.

After losing to Georgia in the SEC championship game Saturday, the CFP committee placed the Texas Longhorns as the 5 seed. They will host 12-seed Clemson, who's coming off their win in the ACC championship game over SMU. That game is slated for Saturday, Dec. 21 with kickoff at 3 p.m. CT.

A win for Texas will send them to the quarterfinals and the Peach Bowl to battle Big 12 champion Arizona State, who routed Iowa State to steal a playoff bye. That game will be played on New Year's Day at noon.

SMU secured the last spot in the playoff despite their loss to Clemson. The 11-seed Mustangs will go on the road to 6-seed Penn State and also play on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. CT.

If SMU wins, their next opponent would be Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl scheduled for New Year's Eve at 6:30 p.m. CT.
