Man Charged With Capital Murder in Deaths of Woman, Child

A man faces capital murder charges in connection to the stabbing deaths of a woman and her young child.

Houston Police Department arrested 29-year-old Kendrick Rayvon Fisher last week. Investigators say Fisher is the woman's brother.

A family member told officers a woman and her daughter were being held hostage by Fisher at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Richmond Avenue and Westminster Plaza Drive in Westchase. Once inside the apartment, police found the woman, 28, and child, 2, dead inside from multiple stab wounds and Fisher was found asleep on the couch.

Fisher was detained and then questioned by investigators who later arrested and charged him with capital murder. He's being held at the Harris County Jail on a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, December 3.
