President-elect Donald Trump addressed supporters in Mar-a-Lago Thursday night at an America First Policy Institute gala. He thanked them for winning him the electoral and popular vote, adding his platform was one of "common sense." While speaking, Trump also announced that North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is his nominee to head the department of the interior.
On Thursday, Trump nominating Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the department of health and human services. He said Kennedy, who has been an outspoken critic of vaccine mandates, will restore health agencies "to the traditions of gold standard scientific research, and beacons of transparency."
The President-elect also hinted at another "big" appointment today, likely having to do with energy sector.
