You're not going to hear much about it, because it's not a major issue. But there is one item on the ballot that some are calling a sleeper election issue. And that would be 'school choice'.
"The parent empowerment movement across America, has now swept into just about every state" said Dr. Richard Johnson, director of the Booker T. Washington initiative at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, "I think now we have about 33 states that have some form of school choice."
But next month's all important election could affect that choice. Kamala Harris is not in favor of school choice, but former president Donald Trump is, just like most of the state of Texas.
"Now, nearly 80% of Texans are supporting school choice" Dr. Johnson told KTRH, "So, we've seen it move from little or no interest, to great interest in the state of Texas."
With a lot interest expected during next year's Texas legislative session.
