In a surprise to no one, inflation is still the top economic issue for voters according to a new survey from Bankrate. What is a surprise is how politicized the findings turned out to be.
"The majority of Americans say they believe the country is on the wrong track, but that is steered by 83% of Republicans vs. just 27% of Democrats" said Bankrate's senior economic analyst, Mark Hamrick.
Even more surprising, was that 32% surveyed said they think that the economy is headed in -right- direction. So who are these people?
"It is based on their politics" Hamrick told KTRH, "And so, we know it's a time of tremendous division."
But again, both sides agree that the economy is at the top of the list, along with government spending, health care costs, and affordable housing.
