Fort Bend County Commissioner Candidate Indicted for Ninth Time

Fort Bend County Commissioner Candidate Taral Patel has been indicted for the ninth time in his election manipulation/fake racism case.

He is now facing four felony and five misdemeanor counts in the scandal that has led to the indictment of County Judge KP George on a misdemeanor count.

County Commissioner Andy Meyers said exclusively to KTRH, "I'm disturbed that my opponent Taral Patel continues to be indicted by Fort Bend County grand jury's on serious charges. He really needs to withdraw from this race, and more importantly apologize to the community for his actions."

Meyers also noted that the allegations are troubling, and that Patel spread racist and hateful statements to manipulate the outcomes of two elections. All from someone who once held a position in the Biden administration.

"The evidence against Patel is pretty overwhelming, and the likelihood is that he's going to get convicted or have to cop a plea to a felony, in which case he would not be able to serve as County Commissioner" told KTRH.

Patel is facing 4 felony charges, and 5 misdemeanors. Patel's former boss, Fort Bend County Judge, KP George was also indicted last month.
