We will never forget the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005, but we also remember how celebrities were tripping over themselves to show their support for the victims. It was everywhere.
Fast forward to today and sadly in the aftermath of Helene and Milton, Hollywood has been AWOL.
"19 years ago it was a who's who of Hollywood and music, I don't know why they're not rallying again" said Christian Toto, host of the 'Hollywood in Toto' podcast, "Well maybe I do."
And what would the reason, or reasons be? As Toto notes, the corporate mainstream media is trying to downplay the hurricanes, because they would then have to point out the terrible response from the Biden-Harris administration and FEMA.
The same goes for the celebrities, who know fully well that any support for victims, will hurt Harris.
"To point out the government's flaws in the coverage, and to point out that we need some celebrity cash to help those people in need, just is a direct criticism of what the Biden-Harris team is doing right now. And I think that celebrities just don't want to do that" Toto told KTRH.
Thankfully, at least some country music stars have stepped up.
