Kamala, The Anti-Gun Politician, Is Also A Supposed Gun Owner

Despite claiming to be a gun owner herself, Vice President Kamala Harris is for banning firearms that includes the one she says she has.

In a recent interview with "60 Minutes," Harris said she owns a Glock, although she did not elaborate or was asked what model or caliber of Glock it is. Glock is also the name of a handgun manufacturing company and not a type of firearm.

Going back to her political time in California, Harris supported an idea to ban the type of firearm that she says she now owns. As California attorney general, Harris attempted to enforce experimental microstamping of firing pins as a requirement for any sellable guns. Glock pistols include a trigger, firing pin, and drop safety combination that works to prevent accidental firing. However, under California law, most Glock models are considered “unsafe handguns” because they do not meet the state’s safety or firing requirements.

David Amad with Open Carry Texas said the vice president is only trying to present herself as more relatable to America's gun owners and the switch would quickly flip to being anti-gun and anti-2A if elected president.

"It's right before an election and right after the election they're going to start yelling 'ban, ban, ban,'" he said. "She wants to ban just about everything, but she wants to keep hers."

In a separate interview from over a week ago, Harris also said an intruder would be shot if they entered her house in an act of self-defense. During the presidential debate with Donald Trump, Harris said she and her running mate Tim Walz are not planning on "taking anybody's guns away." Amad isn't buying it though.

"When you've been in the fight for our gun rights as long as I have, you come to realize that all politicians are full of it but Democrat politicians are really full of it," Amad said.

Amad wouldn't be surprised if Kamala didn't know the make, model and caliber of her Glock. He calls this a classic 'rules for thee, not for me' situation.
