We all know how historically bad inflation has been under the Biden-Harris administration, but why are Americans so angry at grocery stores?
According to a recent Gallup poll, only 33% of Americans have a positive view of the grocery industry. It's the great supermarket souring.
"I think Americans are fed-up with inflation" said industry expert Scott Mushkin, president of R5 Capital, "It's easy to blame the grocers for that, even though they're probably just a small part of it. But I think that they're on the front lines, and so they get the blame."
But there is also some blame left over for VP Kamala Harris and her partners in the media, who continue to push the message that grocery stores are guilty of 'price gauging', even though that is completely false.
And there is still one other reason. Mushkin notes that during the pandemic, Americans developed a connection with their local supermarkets. But now, that bond is gone.
"At the same time prices have gone up, service and store conditions have decreased a little bit" Mushkin told KTRH, "Paying more for less, is not what people like to do."
If all of that's not bad enough, Mushkin also pointed out that grocery prices have actually gone up more than 30% under Biden-Harris, not the 20% that the media likes to push.
