Documentarian and conservative commentator Dinesh D'Souza joined Houston's Morning News this morning to discuss his new movie, titled Vindicating Trump. D'Souza says the film will bring out a "whole new aspect" of former President and 2024 GOP nominee Donald Trump.

In the interview, D'Souza told KTRH's Jimmy Barrett and Shara Fryer that the goal of the film is to "make the case" for Trump. He also says that Trump's "super human" courage is exactly what America needs right now.

D'Souza pointed out that, largely thanks to the media, the former President has become the most polarizing figure in American politics since Abraham Lincoln. He said, "Some people, his supporters, will take a bullet for him. Other people aren't too upset when someone tries to assassinate him."

D'Souza says that what separates Trump and Lincoln is that, with Lincoln, the division was over slavery, but with Trump, the division is over the man himself. He hopes his new film will bring out an aspect of Trump that the public never really sees.

In the film, D'Souza sits down with many people close to the former President, including daughter-in-law Lara Trump, his attorney Alina Habba, and even the former President himself. The film will release in 1,000 theaters nationwide next Friday, and you can find tickets and showtimes at vindicatingtrump.com.
