Despite thousands of dollars in incentives for EV purchases, sales continue to slip. Now J.D. Power has cut its forecast for EV sales. So why aren't electric cars able to catch on?
Jerry Reynolds, host of The Car Pro Show, says it's because of "The cost, the infrastructure, the grid. I mean, there's just so many issues that make people put the brakes on."
Reynolds says the government should have never tried so hard to push EVs onto consumers. He said, "This should always be the consumer's choice, as to whether they want an electric car, a hybrid car, a gas car, a diesel car, whatever."
Reynolds adds that, as of right now, we are probably another 20 years away from electric vehicles becoming a mainstream mode of transportation.
