With 50 days to go now until the election, just where do things stand now with all of former president Trump's legal cases?
"Generally speaking, where things stand is I think not where the Democrats would like it to be" said attorney David Gelman, who is also a surrogate for the Trump campaign.
The Dems 'lawfare' backfired big-time, and now everything is on hold for Trump until after the election.
"There's a lot of variables in play" Gelman told KTRH, "Post election, the biggest thing is going to be what happens in the election and I think that that's going to really set the stage for what potentially can happen next."
The New York case sentencing is still on, and is set for November 26th. But as Gelman points out, it's all about what happens on November 5th.
As for the rest of the cases, the E. Jean Carroll ruling is being appealed, the documents case in Florida was thrown out, and the election interference case in Washington D.C. is still trying to determine how to proceed after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of Trump for some presidential immunity.
"Whether you love Donald Trump, or whether you don't like Donald Trump, every single American right now should be very concerned if not terrified about how the criminal justice system is being weaponized, and it is" noted Gelman. "People need to wake up and recognize the threat to this Republic that this type of behavior is."
