One of the many things that was not covered during the embarrassing 3 vs. 1 debate from ABC 'news', was former president Donald Trump's plan to do a full government audit, if he's re-elected in November. Many experts believe a government audit is long overdue.
"The last comprehensive examination and report of the entire federal government was the 'Grace Commission' under President Ronald Reagan" said Tom Schatz, president of Citizens Against Government Waste, "And Citizens Against Government Waste was founded after the Grace Commission report was released."
That was way back in 1984, and that is when Schatz and his group got started. Fast forward to today, and there is a lot of money that could be saved, and lots of government waste.
"When president Trump says trillions could be saved, it's not an exaggeration" Schatz told KTRH, "Because the budget right now is more than 7 trillion dollars. Debt is at one of the highest points in history, without really any accountability."
Trump has tabbed Elon Musk to lead his 'Government Efficiency Commission', with the U.S. debt now over $35 trillion.
