If you remember back in June, the Texas Supreme Court halted the Harris County guaranteed income program. But according to reports, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is looking to revamp it and bring it back.

"What they've done now is they've come back and said, well we're going to try to relaunch this program and put some restrictions on how the $500 a month can be spent" said reporter Holly Hansen, who has been covering the story for The Texan.
But the multi-million dollar question is, why hasn't the state and Attorney General Ken Paxton, stepped in and shut the program down completely?
"I did reach out to the AG's office, and I have not yet gotten a response" Hansen told KTRH, "It sounds like they're taking a look as to whether or not they will take action, and they may in fact be waiting for more details about the program."
According to reports, one detail is that Hidalgo would like to ultimately expand the program to give money to illegal immigrants.
The case will likely have to be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court, which could set the stage for socialism programs like this across the country.
