Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe was grilled by the Senate Judiciary Committee about the security failure that led to the attempt on Donald Trump’s life July 13th in Butler, PA.
Both Texas Senators - Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, questioned Rowe.
This hearing followed a House hearing with former Director Kimberly Cheatle. That hearing led to her resignation.
In the weeks since the shooting, we have learned about the many security failures that put Trump at risk. We also learned that law enforcement knew Thomas Matthew Crooks was out there a full 90 minutes before Trump took the stage. The former President was still allowed to go on despite the threat.
