With the primaries over and Trump preparing to receive the GOP nomination for President, more and more people are wondering who he will tap to be his next vice president. And it might be a while before we get an answer to that question.
Among the many factors to consider when making the choice, political strategist Bill Miller told KTRH that there's only one that truly matters most. He said, "The true criteria is, can him or her, whoever it is, help him win? It really doesn't matter about governance, it's about winning the election."
Miller says that as of right now, there isn't even a short list. He says Trump is currently talking to a lot of people and trying to collect information. He said, "It's maybe a medium list or a long list. But I don't think it's a short list yet."
Miller said that selecting the right VP is a critical necessity. He thinks that due to how close this election is expected to be, whoever Trump picks could wind up influencing a lot of voters.
