Here we go, it's deja blue all over again. There's a new Texas Democrat group that is planning to spend millions to try and turn Texas 'blue'.
It's just the latest attempt from the left, with Texas now the #1 target.
"There is a recognition that the Democratic side is ill-equipped to make Texas as competitive as it could be" said Republican strategist, Matt Mackowiak, "They see an opportunity building towards what they hope will be a very competitive U.S. Senate race with Colin Allred and Ted Cruz."
The race could easily end up topping over $100 million before we get to November. And before Texas turns blue, it would have to be purple first.
"Texas remains a red state, but there are some warning signs and we have to take it seriously" Mackowiak told KTRH, "We have to stop acting like we think Texas will always be Republican, because it's that kind of mindset and complacency that will turn Texas purple if we're not careful."
Whatever the color is, Texas is still the #1 target for the Democrats.
