Liberals in the media are now warning that deporting the 11 million illegal aliens currently inside the United States might cause a recession. They're even going as far as saying that Texas depends on illegal alien workers.
Dan Stein with the Federation for American Immigration Reform says that this just represents another flip flop by Democrats. He said, "One of the great tectonic shifts in American politics has been the change in the Democrat party's concern for American workers."
Stein says that despite liberal claims, the only people that illegal alien workers benefit are the companies that are able to get away with cheaper labor costs. But in the end, the public is left to cover the cost of the increased tax burden that illegal aliens cause.
Stein says what little economic growth is brought about by illegal aliens isn't exactly positive, and any country should be willing to do its own work without importing cheap labor.
