With a new series of violent political riots every two to four years in America, and tensions heating up again ahead of the November election, anxiety is beginning to rise. With media narratives growing more and more extreme, this shouldn't come as a surprise.
AM950 KPRC's Kenny Webster told KTRH, "Liberals will tell people their opponents are literally Hitler. If you consume that kind of news and information all the time, you are going to develop anxiety."
Webster says this anxiety is created very intentionally, and most people don't even know that they're being manipulated. He says liberals are able to create this mass anxiety because "Liberals control the mainstream media, and conservative media tends to be a reaction to the hyperbole of leftist liberal media, which is overwhelmingly toxic."
Webster says that there has always been, and likely will also be, some form of fear propaganda in American life, but we shouldn't spend too much time getting worked up over things that we just can't control.
