Hunter Biden's appeal to delay gun case denied by federal judge

A Delaware federal judge on Tuesday decided to reject Hunter Biden's request to delay the start of his criminal trial on gun charges.

Attorneys for the younger Biden requested to push the trial start to September, claiming they have had issues finding expert witnesses to testify.

Denial of the request means the trial will start as scheduled in June. Biden is facing charges related to a form he filled out in October 2018 in order to buy a firearm, in which he allegedly lied about his drug use.

He has pleaded not guilty, maintaining that while he struggled with an addiction to crack cocaine during that period in 2018, he did not break the law.

The trial is set to begin on June 3rd.
